1. Information We Collect

When you use the Smongrot app, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: Email, username, profile picture (if provided)
• Motorcycle Data: Model, year, ECU number, tune parameters
• Sensor Data: Real-time ECU data (RPM, temperature, voltage, etc.) via Bluetooth connection
• Ride Data: GPS location, speed, distance, trip duration (only when you enable Ride Tracking)
• Diagnostic Data: DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) read from the ECU
• Usage Data: App usage statistics, crash logs

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide ECU tuning and motorcycle diagnostic services
• Display real-time sensor data
• Record and display ride routes
• Connect you with expert mechanics (Mechanic Marketplace)
• Improve and develop the app
• Send relevant notifications (job status, messages from mechanics)

3. Data Sharing

We only share your data in the following cases:

• Your chosen mechanic: When you submit a tuning job, relevant vehicle and ECU data is shared with that mechanic
• Service providers: Supabase (database), Apple/Google (payments)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or authorized government agencies

4. Bluetooth Connection

The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to connect with ESP32 devices for reading ECU data. Data transmitted via BLE is encrypted and used solely for displaying and storing tune parameters.

5. Location (GPS)

The app only requests location access when you enable the Ride Tracking feature. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. Location data is stored on our servers and is not shared with third parties without your consent.

6. Storage and Security

• Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS)
• Connections encrypted with TLS/SSL
• Passwords hashed with bcrypt
• Payments processed through Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — we do not store your credit card information

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request all data we hold about you
• Rectify: Update your personal information at any time
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export: Request a copy of your data in a readable format

8. Children

Smongrot is not designed for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you through the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
